Holiday Caravan
Sites (Wales) Bill
Response from:
Pensieri Caravan Park
Dear Ms Chapman,
I am the Estate Manager of the Bodorgan Estate which includes the Pensieri Caravan Park near Rhosneigr on Anglesey. This is a holiday park business, providing 62 pitches for static holiday caravans and has operated successfully for in excess of 40 years. We are part of a much larger diversified rural enterprise looking to establish a high quality leisure offer working in close connection with our local authority and the Welsh Government to create a sustainable future for our community. Our holiday park is one essential constituent but we face stiff competition particularly from the West of England and I hope we will not be disadvantaged by this bill progressing.
I write in response to the consultation on the Holiday Caravan Sites (Wales) Bill. My trade association, BH&HPA has responded on behalf of all members and I endorse their evidence - on this link - to you http://bhhpa.org.uk/additional/files/bhhpa-response-to-assembly-consultation-on-holiday-caravan-sites-wales-bill-19-may-2014.pdf
I ask please that you ensure this park business is not placed at competitive disadvantage, jeopardising the direct and indirect employment we sustain.
Yours sincerely,
Tim Bowie PgD REM
Estate Manager
